As residents of Hulon Greene, we share our streets with all of our neighbors. That means walkers, bikers, and drivers... and critters. We all know that Hulon Greene Drive is a long street with several blind curves. And the sun can create blind spots for drivers. To help keep everyone safe, let's review a few policies and good practices:
DRIVERS
The posted speed limit is 25mph or less. Running late is no excuse to speed.
Walkers have the right-of-way.
Slow down when approaching a curve.
Remind your contractors of our speed limit.
Remember that seniors' response time and reactions to your car may be slower.
WALKERS / BIKERS / JOGGERS
Always walk facing traffic. Bikers should bike in the the same direction as traffic.
Wear light, bright clothing, especially in the early mornings and evenings. Reflective vests or tape such as road crew workers wear is even better!
Carry a flashlight at night.
Always be alert to oncoming traffic, as they may not see you.
